Falling Water

Today we visited Falling Water, the famed Frank Lloyd Wright creation.  I have always heard how great it is, but didn't really understand the scope of the project.  The place is amazing.  The house, furnishings, art collection and waterfalls are to die for.  I found myself repeatedly saying "I want to to live here".  Every single detail is perfectly thought out.  I have 2 favorite spots.  For summertime, there are steps leading from the living room down to the creek.  They are covered by a sliding glass ceiling.  So cool.  For winter, the main fireplace.  It's built into a boulder that is part of the houses foundation, an old sunning rock.  I can just picture a sheepskin rug flung over it to create a reading den.  No pictures allowed inside, so you'll just have to go see for yourself...
