Salt Lake City!!!
Pip and I had very high hopes for this stop, and we were not disappointed. I will admit that it started off a bit rocky. As we drove into the city it began to rain. And then there was a massive amount of traffic and road work. Not good combinations. And THEN we had our first bit of car trouble. Nothing Ricky did, it was the human element. We hit a piece of road construction debris. Poor Ricky got a metal jab in the rear drivers side tire. The unidentified metal object was similar to a coat hanger, but about 4 times thicker and long enough to do a bit of damage to the wheel well. Luckily we managed to get to a goodyear tire place before losing too much tire pressure. At this point, I was not enjoying Salt Lake. And then things started looking up. The goodyear guys were able to patch Ricky up, no new tire needed. And the best part? No charge! Things started looking up from that point on. Everyone in Salt Lake was so friendly.
Also, turns out the do serve alcohol in Salt Lake City. And they are very generous with the portions!
I was a bit disappointed by the great salt dessert. Of course we would go through it when there was lots of precipitation happening. It's one redeeming quality? SNOW!!
